It's not just the tourism capital of Uganda. It's also home to the TOORO CULTURAL AND CONSERVATION EDUCATION CENTRE , where we combine traditional knowledge with contemporary methods to promote the coexistence of people and wildlife. When culture meets conservation, powerful things happen

For generations, Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) has guided Indigenous communities in Tooro—passed down around the Ekyoto fires through stories, food, language, and healing. This wisdom teaches us to live with nature, not against it. But it’s fading fast. Please join me on LinkedIn and see the video   That’s why we at Tooro Cultural Research and Development Organisation (TCRD) are launching: The Tooro Cultural and Conservation Education Centre – Fort Portal A space to revive, share, and celebrate TEK through hands-on workshops in: 🌾 Traditional food practices 🌱 Medicinal plant use 🗣 ️ Language and ecological worldview 📍 Visit us: Opposite Kabundaire Banana Market, below the secondary school 🤝 Support us: << click here for details >>
