About Edward’s Hamlet
Edward’s Hamlet — A Living Laboratory for Experiential Learning in Africa.
Located in Jinja, Uganda, Edward’s Hamlet is not just a farm — it is a regenerative ecosystem and youth-centered innovation hub aligned with the PEARL experiential learning model. As a project under the Africa Partnership on Climate Change Coalition (APCCC), Edward’s Hamlet serves as a hands-on learning lab where youth can design, document, and scale sustainable solutions related to:
- Regenerative agriculture and soil health
- Climate-smart aquaculture and biochar
- Circular economies and food systems
- Renewable energy and environmental restoration
- Community-led innovation and SDG-aligned project design

Internship Opportunity: Social Media & Digital Communications
We are looking for 1–2 motivated interns to help tell the story of Edward’s Hamlet through strategic use of:
- Instagram (visual storytelling, reels, impact highlights)
- Facebook (community engagement and updates)
- LinkedIn (professional branding and thought leadership)
- YouTube (project documentation, interviews, explainer videos)
This is an opportunity to contribute to Africa’s regenerative development movement while building a professional portfolio that spans storytelling, social media strategy, sustainability, and global networking.
Who We’re Looking For
Ideal candidates are:
- Passionate about regenerative agriculture, sustainable development, or climate action
- Experienced with one or more social media platforms (content creation, scheduling, engagement)
- Strong visual communication and writing skills
- Comfortable working independently in a virtual setting
- Curious, self-motivated, and eager to contribute to a meaningful cause
Bonus: Experience with video editing, Canva, scheduling tools, or analytics platforms.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Edward and team to shape weekly content plans
- Draft and schedule posts aligned with project milestones and seasonal activities
- Edit and upload video interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and educational content
- Engage with the community and respond to comments/messages
- Track engagement and recommend new strategies to grow reach
